Hello everyone, today i want to explain about descriptive Text

• What is Descriptive Text?

Basically, descriptive text is a text that aims to explain, describe, or describe something. This thing can take the form of anything, be it animals, objects, locations, and so on. Usually descriptive text is characterized by the use of easy tense and focuses on one specific object. The object is then discussed again in more detail in the descriptive text.

• What is Purpose of Descriptive Text?

 The purpose of the descriptive text is clear, that is to describe, represent or reveal a person or an object, either abstract or concrete.

•Language Features of Descriptive Text

• Verbs used are attribute verbs, such as be (am, is, are)

 • The tense used is simple present tense

 • Only focus on that one object.

• General Structure of Descriptive Text

•Identification is an introduction, in the form of a general description of a topic.

• Description contains special characteristics possessed by the object, place, or person being described. For example, characteristics, physical appearance, and other things that are written specifically.

Eiffel Tower


Eiffel tower is one of the most famous buildings in the world. Every day, there are hundreds of tourists visiting to enjoy all the beauty in every side of it. The tower was built by an engineer named Gustave Eiffel and became an important monument to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the French revolution.

The French government opened the tower on March 31, 1889 and since that time, the Eiffel Tower became an icon for the city of Paris and France.

Eiffel is also known as La Tour Eiffel or La Dame De Fer which means as iron lady. Known as the iron lady because this is a building that is so graceful and beautiful. Then the building is also strong because of the legs supported by iron.

Eiffel reaches 984 feet and when completed, it became the highest monument passed the Washington Monument. Eiffel holded the highest title after 1930 when the Chrysler Building built in New York.
